ASIAN JOURNAL OF ISLAMIC ECONOMICS and MANAGEMENT (AJIEnM)

INTRODUCTION
As a group of pioneering scholars in Islamic economics from Asia, we firmly believe that those passionate about this field should share their experience and knowledge with others. Likewise, we are dedicated to encouraging the younger generation to embrace this vision and push the boundaries of knowledge toward new frontiers.
We provide this platform to ensure their work is shared, valued, and appreciated by the wider community. It is this very spirit of sharing that became our impetus to establish the Asian Journal of Islamic Economics and Management (AJIEnM).
AIM and SCOPE
Published twice a year, AJIEnM is an academic journal dedicated to promoting scholarly research. Our primary aims and scope include:
Aim:
- Elevating Young Researchers: To provide a dedicated platform for young researchers and scholars to share their experience and knowledge by publishing high-quality academic works in Islamic economics and management.
- Mentorship and Academic Growth: To offer distinct avenues for aspiring researchers to advance their academic ambitions by learning from established, renowned experts in these fields.
- Networking and Collaboration: To foster opportunities for scholars to expand their professional networks and collaborate with peers who share similar research interests.
Scope:
Our philosophy in establishing AJIEnM is to provide an open, boundary-free platform for young researchers and scholars to share their insights with the global community. This mission aligns beautifully with Surah Luqman, Verse 27 (31:27) of the Holy Al-Quran, which states:
"And if all the trees on earth were pens, and the sea (were ink), with seven more seas added to it, the words of Allah would not be exhausted. Indeed, Allah is Almighty, All-Wise."
In this spirit of boundless knowledge, we warmly encourage authors to submit their original manuscripts, research reports, and other academic works in the fields of economics and management for evaluation. We are committed to a timely review process; feedback will be shared with authors as soon as we receive the evaluation reports from our reviewers. Please note that all submissions must strictly adhere to our 'Guidelines for Authors.'
GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
Peer Review Policy & Confidentiality
All submitted manuscripts undergo a strict double-blind peer-review process, meaning that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers are entirely concealed from one another throughout the evaluation.
The final decision to accept, reject, or request revisions for a manuscript rests with the AJIEnM Editorial Board, guided by the reviewers' recommendations. The Editors retain the discretion to seek additional reviews if necessary, and authors will be promptly notified should their manuscript require further evaluation.
The Editor-in-Chief and the editorial staff are committed to maintaining absolute confidentiality. No information regarding a submitted manuscript will be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, designated reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisors, and the publisher, as appropriate.
Open Access Policy
AJIEnM adheres to the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). We provide immediate open access to our content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Accordingly, all content is freely accessible without charge to individual users or institutions. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles in this journal without seeking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
In line with our philosophy that academic research should be disseminated as widely as possible, AJIEnM utilizes open-content licensing (such as Creative Commons). This ensures that while authors retain copyright, traditional restrictive access barriers are removed, allowing for maximum visibility and impact.
Plagiarism
AJIEnM takes plagiarism, fraud, and any other forms of research misconduct very seriously. Plagiarism occurs when an author uses ideas, information, or words from another source without providing proper credit. Even when unintentional, plagiarism constitutes a serious violation of academic integrity and is entirely unacceptable in international scholarly publishing.
Consequently, the journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding academic misconduct. Authors found engaging in these practices will face actions ranging from a formal warning to immediate blacklisting, depending on the severity of the offense. Proper citation and attribution must always be given to the original author whenever their work, concepts, or data are referenced.
Editorial Ethics and Conflicts of Interest
The Editorial Board of AJIEnM is dedicated to ensuring that both the peer-review and editorial processes remain completely confidential, fair, unbiased, and transparent.
To maintain the highest standards of objectivity, both editors and reviewers are strictly required to recuse themselves from evaluating any manuscript with which they have a conflict of interest. This includes any competitive, collaborative, or other professional relationships and connections with the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the submitted work.
Professionalism and Integrity
AJIEnM is committed to upholding the highest standards of scholarly review and professional publishing judgment. To maintain this integrity, all stakeholders—including authors, reviewers, and editors—must strictly adhere to the highest levels of professionalism and ethical conduct. Every submission undergoes a rigorous, double-blind peer-review and careful editorial process prior to acceptance.
The AJIEnM Editorial Board ensures that both the evaluation and editorial workflows remain completely confidential, fair, unbiased, and transparent.
